Bega Lagoon, Fiji / by Alastair Pollock

Bega Lagoon, off Pacific Harbour on the southern side of Vita Levu, is one of the best places to see large bull sharks.

At the right time of year you can see up to 100 adult bull sharks on a single dive. Black tip reef sharks, white tip reef sharks and grey reef sharks are also seen in large numbers on every dive. Occasionally divers are lucky enough to see tiger sharks at Beqa Lagoon.

The dive takes place at 3 different depths. At ~30 meters are the bull sharks, at ~15 meters are the grey reef sharks, and in the shallows on top of the reef are the white tip and black tip reef sharks.
