Atlantic spotted dolphins in the Bahamas

Another wonderful trip to the Bahamas to see the Atlantic spotted dolphins and bottlenose dolphins. It’s one of the few trips where the subjects seek out interactions with you, with some dolphins even nudging you or brushing you with their pectoral fins.

Juvenile dolphins are much more likely to play. Deep, swirling free-dives are what attracts their interest most.

We saw a range of behaviours on this trip, including nursing small calves, mating and hunting. A highlight of the trip was watching the dolphins feed on flying fish and squid at night in the gulf stream.
